EMHS president and CEO M. Michelle Hood, FACHE joined leaders from the American Hospital Association (AHA) and individual 340B hospitals today in announcing new principles for ensuring good stewardship of the 340B program.
Stakeholders from across the county will be given an opportunity on September 19, 2018 to shape priorities for community health at a special forum aimed at providing input to the region’s healthcare organizations.

If there was any doubt that EMHS is brimming with insightful, innovative, and hardworking employees, then the inaugural 2018 EMHS Professional and Organizational Development (POD) class has put that doubt to rest. The POD program is a new partnership between EMHS and Husson University in which 100 class members who applied were selected from a variety of job roles—both clinical and nonclinical—throughout our 12,000-employee organization.

Starting August 31 at 5 pm, Capital Ambulance, a member of EMHS (Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems), will begin responding to calls for ambulance service in the city of Ellsworth and several surrounding Hancock County communities. After serving the community for more than 40 years, County Ambulance owner John Partridge has decided to end operations.
